Electrolux Cooktops Line-Up (2025)

In my first project launched while working at Electrolux, I had the opportunity to take part in the development of a new line of gas cooktops, available in 4- and 5-burner versions, designed for different target audiences and distributed across several Latin American countries.

The main premise of the project was to standardize components and reduce costs compared to the previous product line, while also revitalizing the design and adapting it to consumer needs. The glass surface was redesigned with reduced dimensions to better fit Latin American kitchens, which are becoming increasingly compact. The knobs were developed in two variations: a simpler version with matte and glossy finishes, and a more premium version featuring a painted plastic applique, intended for higher-end models.

My main contribution was in the design of the knobs and the grates — in both cast iron and wire versions — which needed to address chronic issues such as insufficient pan support and low energy efficiency, ensuring better thermal performance and overall usability. The knob design also allows for easy visual identification of when the flame is on, providing a more intuitive and safer user experience.
